Gaetano Grizzanti is the Iconist; he lives and works in Milan.

Artistically Gaetano Grizzanti trained at the ‘workshop’ of master Luigi Giovenco, and started to paint at a young age. Over the course of his painting career, his works have been exhibited in individual and group exhibitions.

After an initial period of academic study, Grizzanti undertook experimental artistic research, drawing on and re-elaborating his own stylemes from the pictogram discipline generally applied in visual communication. 

As a result, in 2000 Grizzanti developed Iconism, an entirely new form of expression in the world of contemporary art, through which he aims to witness and reinterpret the ways that man in the third millennium communicates, by transforming the icons of digital devices into conceptual ideograms.
